Vernatsch Cup South Tyrol

Vernatsch is one of South Tyrol’s most traditional grape varieties. For more than 20 years, the Vernatsch Cup South Tyrol at vigilius mountain resort on Vigiljoch has been dedicated to this distinctive wine.

The competition was created to highlight the quality and diversity of South Tyrolean Vernatsch. Each year, an international jury of sommeliers, journalists and wine experts tastes the submitted wines and awards the most outstanding examples of this indigenous grape.

In the evening, the event opens to guests of vigilius. During a tasting of the awarded wines, accompanied by culinary creations from the vigilius kitchen, an informal exchange around Vernatsch and South Tyrolean wine culture unfolds.
