About us
The values of this special place go hand in hand with a deep sense of responsibility. Owner Ingrid Ladurner represents the passing of the torch. She embodies and preserves these values, together with two young hotel directors, who run the hotel with heart, ambition, and an appreciation of its history. Vera Dejori brings her expertise in the fields of guest services and management of department heads. Eva-Maria Zöggeler manages marketing and develops both the personnel and the corporate culture. Together with their team, they are the vigilius mountain resort, loved and cherished by our guests for decades.
Born in South Tyrol, he loved the mountains and nature from childhood. “We will not create anything more beautiful than this place,” is the essence of his early and clear vision of creating something up here in the Vigiljoch that blends seamlessly into its surroundings. Here, you feel at one with nature – and yourself. At the highest level, with the highest demands. This vision became the vigilius mountain resort.

Matteo Thun’s architectural skills and innovative mindset complemented Ulrich Ladurner’s vision perfectly. Staying true to his principle of “Eco, not ego”, the focus during construction was on the power of nature. A power which the guests of the vigilius mountain resort experience to its fullest. Matteo Thun’s respect for this place and his ecological foresight blur the lines between architecture and nature, outside and in.

In the course of the renovation of the vigilius mountain resort, architect and interior designer Christina Biasi-von Berg gave the original idea a new signature. As a young architect, she worked for Matteo Thun and was involved in the planning of vigilius. With her own studio, and in collaboration with Matteo Thun, she preserves and develops the architectural legacy of the hotel.
